About Puthuppally Valiya Pally
Located on a hill near Vazhakkulam Hindu Temple, later known as Kochupallikkunnu, the church was originally built in 1557 as a small chapel dedicated to St. Mary.
With its ancient history, spiritual traditions, traditional architecture and historic murals, the church is one of the major cultural and pilgrimage centres of Puthuppally.

Major Historical Milestones
The first small church was built in the name of St. Mary.
The famous Golden Cross (Ponnin Kurishu) was created.
