Grievance Redressal Systems

Main Ways to Submit a Complaint

Block Panchayat Front Office / Grievance Cell

Complaints can be submitted directly at the Block Panchayat office. The complaint will normally be forwarded to the concerned officer or Standing Committee for necessary action.

Public Grievance Redressal System

Complaints regarding services, projects, benefits and administrative lapses can be submitted through the appropriate institution.

Online Grievance System

Complaints can be submitted through the systems of the Government of Kerala's Local Self Government Department, and information regarding further action can also be obtained.

Complaint to the President and Secretary

A written complaint should include the subject, details of the incident, the remedy requested and relevant supporting documents. Keep the receipt or acknowledgement number safely for future reference.

Further Action / Appeal

If no action is taken within the prescribed time, the complainant may approach higher authorities such as the District Panchayat, Local Self Government Department, District-level officers or the Ombudsman.

Right to Information (RTI)

If information is required regarding the action taken on a complaint, the location of the file or the decision taken, an application may be submitted under the Right to Information Act.
